Control systems development, robotics, agricultural mechatronics, mechatronics for manufacturing systems.

Manufacturing

Conventional and non-conventional material processing, concurrent engineering, life cycle engineering, sustainable product and process development, project risk management, operations and quality management.

Structures, Dynamics and Machine Condition Monitoring

Dynamic and acoustic performances of systems, life and integrity assessment, stress analysis, fracture mechanics, creep analysis, rotor dynamics, machine diagnostics and condition monitoring, and noise and vibration control.

Aerospace Engineering

Laser anemometry, high angle of attack and unsteady aerodynamics, composites.

Naval Architecture

Strength and fatigue of ship structures, ship hydrodynamics.

Note that this is a list of current projects, and does not necessarily represent project availability. However, it does give a good idea of the research interests of the various members of staff, who can normally offer similar if not identical research topics. They might also be willing to supervise projects in their field of interest that are suggested by potential research students.
